God's Handmaiden
Cassie J. Wilkins is a licensed evangelist with the Pentecostal Churches of the Apostolic Faith, Inc. She was born and raised in the District of Columbia metropolitan area, and recognized her call to preach at an early age. Her pastor and father in the gospel is the honorable Bishop John T. Leslie, Jr.
A product of District of Columbia and Prince George County Maryland Public Schools, she later obtained a bachelor of science degree in psychology from Coppin State University, in Baltimore, Maryland, and a Master of Social Work Degree from Howard University School of Social Work, in Washington, D.C. She is a licensed social worker and uses her field of expertise to minister to the hurting.
Evangelist Wilkins is no stranger to hurt. In fact her life has been filled with many disappointments but she has used these circumstances to get in touch with others who are going through similar experiences. She first experienced grief in 1991 when one of her brothers was murdered while at a 7-11 store in Prince George's County Maryland. Being devastated, she looked to the Lord for help and strength.
A few years later, her older brother committed suicide. Additionally, she is a witness of how domestic violence can impact and destroy families. However, through all these experiences, she has seen a charisma of hope, a light that beams its rays and declares that a new day is dawning. Thus she declares that this hope is in the Almighty God!
